Notes: I came across both this sealed bottle and the Green Apple bottle online and was instantly curious of their origins! Yoshitaka Amano and Moogles – the perfect combo, but also something so unusual that in all my years of collecting I have never seen before. Currently I know that Yoshitaka Amano had a campaign for Mercian’s Café du Midi which took place in the early 1990s, around 1994 (when Final Fantasy VI was released). This collaboration featured Amano’s artwork on the packaging of Café du Midi products and was a notable example of his work in commercial advertising during that period. However, there really is little information online currently which shows the Café du Midi products, so I will do further research moving forwards – I know both this bottle and the Green Apple liqueur seemed to come in a display box (which makes me wonder if perhaps the bottles were given out as a promotion at an event – note the Not for Sale on the front label). On the back of the bottle, the translation from Japanese reads: ‘based on De Kuyer’s liqueur, which boasts a tradition of over 300 years. This is a new sake. Enjoy the relaxation of the afternoon cafe with the refreshing taste of fruit. Drink it as it is, on the rocks, or with soda.’ There is also information on its alcohol content (12%), ingredients and legalities of underage drinking. More details to follow soon! 🙂

Rarity (1-5): 5
